FoxO3A is a protein encoded by the FOXO3 gene which is approximately 71,2 kDa. FoxO3A is localised to the cytoplasm and nucleus. It is involved in RET signalling, GAB1 signalosome, glioma and common cytokine receptor gamma-chain family signalling pathways. It is a transcriptional activator which triggers apoptosis in the absence of survival factors, including neuronal cell death upon oxidative stress. It also participates in post-transcriptional regulation of MYC. FoxO3A is expressed ubiquitously. Mutations in the FOXO3 gene may result in secondary acute leukemia. STJ90275 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This primary antibody specifically binds to endogenous FoxO3A protein which only binds about S253 when S253 is phosphorylated.
