Description of target: Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR-2) also known as Kinase insert domain receptor (KDR, a type III receptor tyrosine kinase) is a VEGF receptor. Through in situ hybridization of a genomic DNA probe to metaphase chromosomes, VEGFR2 was localized to 4q11-->q12.
